Personalised Dining Experience App
Client:
Independent project - academic to startup transition
Scope:
Mobile App Design
Year:

To better understand how people experience dining out, I conducted interviews with

These conversations focused on their daily dining routines, frustrations, and expectations from technology in the restaurant experience.
Several clear insights came up:
I also discovered that shared dining experiences - like splitting an order or paying together
were missing in existing apps, even though they’re a natural part of how people eat together.

What I Learned
Designing DineX showed me how empathy and collaboration shape better products. Understanding both diners and restaurant staff changed how I approach user needs.
Next Steps
If I had more time, I’d focus on testing the design with real users.
Seeing how people actually interact with the product would help validate the ideas and make the experience even more intuitive.
